Welcome to Tobytogs!

Crouch End Christmas Festival December 08 2014

Tobytogs enjoyed a successful day at the Crouch End Christmas Festival. The winter sun came out all day, which brought plenty of visitors to the bustling craft market. We were spoilt with Christmas music from local choirs and warming mulled wine from Dunn's bakery.

After travelling up on the bus from Finsbury Park, the huge Jasper penguin also proved to be a big hit with the children. He looks very festive with his new Santa hat. Ho! Ho! Ho!

We wish you all a very happy Christmas!

Christmas is coming October 20 2014

After a break from Tobytogs over the Summer, we're now thinking about sparkly Christmas things and our festive friend Charlie Reindeer. He was named last year at the Stoke Newington Festive Feast market in a Tobytogs competition.

We will let you know when the printing studio is booked and personalised orders can be placed.

In the meantime, enjoy the beautiful Autumn colours and the unusually warm weather.

Tobytogs is at Makegood! May 14 2014

Makegood is a festival of culture, creativity and entrepreneurship

It's an extravaganza boasting a vast, indie pop-up market of over 200 brand new creative businesses, including Tobytogs. Makegood will also play host to a series of punchy talks and debates from an unexpected lineup of the world’s most fascinating creative minds, including Cath Kidson, Tatty Devine and Doug Richards.

Tobytogs has been hard at work preparing for the show – printing new t-shirts, designing postcards and writing stories. We would love to see you there, do come by and say hello and enter our competition to win your very own personalised Tobytogs t-shirt! All will be revealed at Makegood. For more details see makegoodfestival.

It's open from midday on Friday 30th May until 1st June at the Old Selfridges Hotel.

"Makegood showcases the hottest up and coming fashion labels, craft food and alternative lifestyle companies all on display in a menagerie of creative pop-ups. We are delighted to be providing a venue and platform that successfully supports young, entrepreneurial talent. Successful screen printing session! March 13 2014

Despite feeling a little tired and hungover after a friend's birthday drinks the night before, I had a great day printing at the East London Printmakers studio in Hackney last weekend. The hangover soon went as the busy process of exposing my screen began!

It's always great to get advice from the technicians on hand – I have been so many times, but always pick up a handy printing tip when I am there.
This time I learnt all about oiling paper instead of using acetate.

The printing went well and the finished printed t-shirts looked super cute. For the first time I had a commission to use phrases rather than names for the personalisation using 'little sister' and 'big brother' for a couple with a new baby on the way.

Peter lion looked fabulous on a bright green t-shirt too.

I also tested out a simple Easter card idea with the popular Daisy rabbit character. See the finished results online soon.

Fabulous photoshoot! February 21 2014

I have a whole new set of adorable Tobytogs photos to put up on the website thanks to Kirsty Barton Photography. My wonderful models were Toby, Lauren, Ines and Oscar and the amazing location was thanks to Helen who lives in a beautiful house in Crouch End.

The children and babies were remarkably good, being paid with chocolate biscuits and milk. Luckily for us we chose one of the only sunny days in February for the shoot which created such beautiful natural light that bounced off the white walls and floor.

Here is a sneak preview before I upload them to the product pages. I hope you like them as much as me!

Jingle Bells! December 11 2013

It's not long until we'll all be eating Turkey, or nut roast in my case, and stuffing our faces full of reindeer shaped chocolates! I for one can't wait to see the faces of my two children, Toby and Lauren, when they notice their presents and the eaten mince pie and carrot on Christmas morning.

Before Farmer Christmas (as my daughter calls him) arrives, there is still time to order Tobytogs presents. Wrapped in hand stamped tissue paper and sent with a free mini-tote bag, they make the perfect present.

Or you can visit the Tobytogs stall at the Festive Feast Christmas Market at the Stoke Newington Town Hall on Stoke Newington Church Street N16 0JR. It's on from 11am - 5pm on the 14th & 15th December. The whole range of Tobytogs clothes will be sold at a 20% discount.

Hope to see you there!

Hello everyone from our new Tobytogs home! October 19 2013

I have done it, hooray!

After weeks of testing many e-commerce sites I finally found one I can use without needing a degree in coding. Please do let me know if something doesn't work or just looks a bit wrong.

While working on my website I  found a beautiful, smiley new model called Oscar who is five months old. He was the perfect baby throughout the photoshoot and wore all my new products, showing them off very well.

Here is Oscar wearing the new light grey and white striped Jasper penguin baby bodysuit. It comes in sizes 0-3, 3-6 and 6-12 months. What a cutie!
